Sorry guys! Since it is DIY stuffs, appearance wise so so la...

Here is how I mounted my Sub, amp, cap... I prefer non seal box. Because the bass is more suitable to my own taste. I have been so many ICE shop to have my system tuned. None of them tune to my liking. End of the day I tune it myself. It is not the best, but I like it so much...

and all run by Monster cable... some tips. Order your cable from overseas like USA. End up you save lot of money.
Ordered my Monster cable RCA 4 channel 4 meters ordered from USA, cost me USD185. And Tat Chuan sold it near RM2k and it is only available in Singapore..
I have bought my RF cap for SGD265 which ProICE's dealer sold them for near RM2k.

The head unit...

Which model of Monster cables u r using?

I would say stay away from the 1xx and 2xx series. 401's are nice and I would presume the better stuff are better.

If anyone wants sum Monster cables or RCA's.. let me know as I got a couple frenz selling them or go to the MCHF forum (link in sig)

Before you set up the ICE, soundproof the car! It helps a lot. The E30 white knight is running a very simple system yet the sound is good because of the sound proofing. DD & Skar will concur!

Sound proofing near the tyre wells (front & rear) are important to keep the road noise to a minimum. If you strip the car, you will note that only 1-2 pieces of sound proofing materials are there, and none under the back seat.

Door panels - both layers are done, the inside is quite hard to access resulting in a lot of cuts of the hand (of course, not my hands!)

As you can see, only 1 piece of sound proofing on the side, and none on the wheel arch.

Do you know what material was used to do the job and roughly how much it cost to do the whole car up like that?

The material used is SikaDamp630, which is similar to Dynamat but much cheaper! Sika is a swiss based company. See the link too http://www.sikaautomotive.com/auto-product-damp.htm

As to the cost, I am not sure coz this car was done up together with the entire interior (seats, carpets, roof lining, door linings etc.). But I would guess it would cost around RM1,500-RM2,000 as the materials itself would be around RM1,000.

I got mine from the interior shop in Taman Sri Muda. I think you can also get it from Technici Audio. Pricewise, you have to shop around & compare!
