hi all expert:i just bought my 320 Ci e46,but when i was driving often will heard some sound from bottom "glu glu" loudly sound even in highway driving straight, sent to car workshop they say dunno what part goes wrong cause dont have any signal light on.do you experienced it before kindly give me some advice, thanks.

your description of the sound is vague and could be caused by several things. take a good mechanic for a ride in your car, and point out the sound to him.

bro, I dont think anybody can help you if you dont know how to describe the problem.

Maybe it is like this..

You heard a "glu glu" sound from the bottom of your car while driving straight on the highway.

You send the car to workshop for a diagnostic but no alarm was registered or shown on the modic.

please help..

here one..
1. Did you jack up your car and check for the 'glu glu" sound. It could be as simple as one cat got stuck under the carriage. Cat and dog have a tendency to sleep under the car cos it is warm down there.

or
2. Send your car to a BMW specialist workshop and get them to check your car properly.

E46 tends to develop problems on bushing and drive shafts over time. This is a 2nd hand car after all. These problems won't register on the diagnostic leh i.e. it's a mechanical wear and tear problem.

i had almost the similar problem as mentioned Glu glu sound

the 1st problem of the glu glu sound was the wheel bearing ... you can hear the noise in ya cabin and becomes loader as days goes by ...and infact much more louder you you're on a higher speed ....

the 2nd problem of the glu glu sound was my RFT rear tyre .... you aren't able to hear this sound in ya cabin or once you've heated the tyre's up ..usually happen during my first 5 minutes of driving and dissapears ...
how to detect this : open up ya door and drive slowly and you'll hear it coming ...

well this is just the mere 2 problems of the GLU GLU sound that i've experienced ....
