most of people had tune his engine system well; intake manifold, turbo/supercharges, DME -> MOTEC, Exhaust manifold, catalist, exhaust pipe... :34: BUT they still MISS a very IMPORTANT PARTSSSsss, THE SHAFT in the CAR, just like the shaft in the MEN..look the attachment 1, A, B, C; 3 different screw driver and which one will be much easier to unscrew a very tight SCREW??? the easier the more power transfer ... :driver:see the attachment no.2if the 318i drive shaft swap with the M3 or 328i drive shaft together with its LSD will greatly increase efficient and TORQUE!!! THE RWD proved to be much more economy then the FWD vehicle, ln term of fuel consumption!!and power efficientcy!! :eek:he he he he... the STi gonna be smokedddd... :smokin: :burnout:

LOL ... i dunno wether you're joking or serious bro? :p But for argument sake it would take a more power and torque to propel the bigger (and presumably heavier) driveshaft if one to use on a standard 318i car...

increase few Kilogram but increase LOT MORE TORQUE..,
WITHOUT IT would be just like a BiG MUSCLE man with his short & small shaft... ha ha ha ha :34:

LOL .... true I now understand and comprehend ... you sir are truly an automotive genius ;)

His posts are deep, REAL DEEEEEEP!!!!!!:34::34::34::34:

Took me quite sometime to comprehend....:stupid::stupid::stupid::stupid:

But you gotta luv this guy....:love::love::love:

To think up of such posts....:top::top::top::top:

THis also PROVED the big diameter WHEEL not only work for appearence!!!!
it do help to increase the TORQUE !!!!!, fuel efficientcy!!!
this principle work long time ago, in the old ancient PIRATE ship.. did you all see the big steering WHEEL to steer the big wooden Pedal.... that time still don't had the hydraulic system!!!!

these also just like when you cycling with the BIG wheel bicycle and small wheel bicycle..,
soo which one had much more energy efficient???

ONLY KL highway suit for that type of WHEEl!! 19inch, 18inch, or even 21inch!!!

i do spot some new TOFU 's Car with small wheel and tire.., but the body size quite BIG...???? that car was quite CUTE... ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

THIS ALSO PROVED alot of people had been CONNED by the NUCLEAR powered and the NUCLEAR from the SUN!!!! :stupido: :ciao: :21: :bird: :five: :captain: :eviltongue:

the car only very light weight and dangerous!!!!

ALSO PROVED!!!!;
SMALL/short RWD car was not GOOD..., the longer the RWD car will be better, and bigger shaft

You got to be kidding me. Right ?
If no one is going to comment this, I am. This is going to CONFUSE people
And stop giving people bad advice.

The reason why screwdriver C can unscrew a screw easier because the length(r) where the point of force is applied(F) is further awaY from the rotating axis. Just like how you use a longer-arm wrench to unscrew a stucked nuts.

Will the 318 be faster when use 328 shaft ? NO!
In fact, if the shaft is thicker, heavier, or wider, it will slow the car down because you need more energy to rotate shaft.

RWD is more economy due to fuel consumption and power efficiency ?
Then why a huge shift to FWD in post-1978 after CAFE standard is administered ?
Because FWD is easier, more economical to make it more efficient.

Bigger wheels increase torque ? and fuel efficiency ?
Oh my GOD !!
By moving more mass to the outer edge of wheel, is going to be harder to rotate the wheels.
Power is loss !! Fuel efficiency is going to drop !!

Light car is not dangerous.
Wonder why they created Murcielago Superleggera, M3 CSL ? Performance through light weight !!

:stupid:

haiye.., what ever you say soo la.., and correct me if not right.., CSL and superleggere made of different material and composition..it was carbon fibre and aerospace material (titanium).. ligh weight still had good safety.., anything what ever you say sooo..., we had different scientific and engineering idealogy and concept.., just like alien technology versus human on earth technology!!!

the technology of milkyway galaxy was totally different from the technology from the ORION nebula.., HORSE head NEBULA or Andromeda GALAXY !!!!

But your "wider shaft" or "bigger shaft" won't create more torque !

No matter what idealogy or concept you have, your broke the basic Newton laws !!
or wrongly applied

what ever you say soo..., last time the china 's chinese invented rocket with solid propellent...,
thier mindset had stop thier own technology from develope.., until the GERMAN uasi make it history recorded

why don't you go to the NUCLEAR laboratory to design a very small shaft gearbox and put it
on the newest or the latest nuclear prototype to test on it :stupid:, unless the car chassic made of Canvas

okay la.., i mean not to be too BIG and TOO small... a perfect setting...

you are soo genius arr joker...i wish i will be very knowledgeable like you. where did you study all this stuff arr? I love to know man

he he he...

how much different the rotating from the axis OF SCREW driver, well.. abit different right...., abit different had big effect!!

actually it was included with the handGRIP... that also mean wide tyre and wheelssss...

nope. actually the smaller the better. The lighter the better.
Only cost, availability, technology, material, safety is preventing going too small.
For performance wise, smaller & lighter it get, the better.

For screwdrivers; Yes, abit is big different because you use less force to TWIST the screwdriver.

Unfornutately, not the same for driveshaft. Driveshalf is connecting directly to transmission, and differential at same axis.Changing the diameter of driveshalf have no effect on delivering power. But changing the diameter, and increasing the outer mass, you are losing more energy trying to rotate the driveshaft.

Good example is ice-skating. Have you ever see how skater rotate really fast ?
By moving your arm nearer to your body, you decrease MOI, and speed of rotation increase.

it was very hard to explain man..., somebody said it was TOP SECRET explanation and only keep in AREA 51....., he he he he...., forget about it man.. we just

it was no necessary to explain in the public; just use hollow shaft... he he he he

So you agree... thank you

Conclusion: changing to bigger/thicker driveshaft won't help you gain performance
