Dear guys, any idea how to turn off or reduce the warning sound when one does not put on the safety belt in time...its rather annoying..thanks in advance.. sori..thread title should read as seat belt sound

this can be switched off after a Progman Update ver.29.1 or newer...
 
Or, an easier and alot cheaper way, get a belt clip and jam it in your fastener...this will make the i-drive think that you've fastened your seat belt.

But i guess after all, its for for own safety too....they say. Just like when you are inside a'plane....""put on your seatbelt while seated"":rolleyes:

updating the i-drive does wonders i guess..
 
ahhh..i got the same problem too...its pretty annoying....how to update the program or where? thanx!
 
Even though I find it extremely annoying, it had taught me to fasten my seat belt as soon as I get into the car. I've developed the habit of buckling up now even with cars that do not beep, which I think is great.

It's a bit of a cliche, but seat belt saves lives. I have a friend who crashed through his front windshield in an accident and is paralyzed waist down now. It's really unfortunate and we're all very sorry for him. It wouldn't have happened if he was wearing the seat belt.
