Rotalla Tyre

Dear all E39's members,I come across this brand of tyre but not sure whether realiable or not... 245/40/R18 for RM430 only. Some said is from taiwan but i check internet, it is from china. Not sure whether anyone have experience on this type of tyre b4? Currently i'm using falken 912, RM560/pc. Not bad but ware around 40K Km...

Anyone heard about 'Achilles' tyres before?

It is fairly cheap. The tyre shop quoted me RM400/pc for 245/40/18!

Any comments?

I'd change to Rotalla tyre yesterday with better deal RM415/pc for 245/40/R18 97W. So far so good... Going to test high speed this weekend & grip in wet condition (if there is rain)

Does the tyre provide the rim wall protector (Rim mount inner than tyre)?

Yes, the rim mount inner than tyre. Btw, i'll take the tyre profile tonite. It is very similar to Falken 912

careful with your high speed tests bro..

Sure bro, will test with 100km/hr 30deg corner first, then 150km/hr slight turn, then only 200km/hr straight run

make sure the tyres are well scrubbed before you go flying into corners.

better do a run in of the tyres first before abusing it anyway, i read in some websites that it's got different models for different weather like all seasons, winter and summer. just make sure you got the suitable ones.

Always check the tyre pressure, since it is china made..it's sidewalls are not that good..dont run on under inflated tyres..the mechs told me..be careful bro

achilles made in indonesia.had them on my e34 sized 235/45/17.......yes they're cheap but after half life ie 50% use,3 of the tyre's inner sidewall has cracks.lucky i was crazy enough (or too much time to spare) to want to remove the wheels off the car to wash them thoroughly or otherwise i might not have noticed and the result cud've been fatal!stay away from achilles
