If you got the normal key, try to follow this steps,
1. Put in your key in the ignition.
2. Turn the key until all the electrics are up
3. Press fully the accelerator pedal for more than 25 secs
4. Release the accelerator and continue to start your engine normally.
It may or it may not improve your gearchange, but it works well for me.It doesnt work with SMG though. Gud luck.

Hi contrail,
Yup,I've actually tried this..works for a while but will go back to early upshifting after a while.I think in my case,because the engine is making more torque than standard,the problem can probably only be solved by a tranny ECU remap.
Still waiting for ESS to come up with one.
