I just found that my right rear ride height is slightly lower than the rear left (by a finger at least). Upon checking further, saw that the dust cover on the original M-sport absorber (sachs) is missing on the strut, although i don't think this is the culprit. Front left and right ride heights are balanced. On top of that, found all the suspension bushings may need to be need replacement due to cracks from wear and tear. Mind you, these suspension system have not been changed since the beginning (2004). I have not yet hear any noise to indicate any malfunction, nor felt any funny experience during cornering and/or wavy road driving conditions.Looking for advice on how to proceed. Few paths that seems plausible now:1. Do nothing. Only change all absorbers and springs (if needed) when one fails.2. Change only rear absorbers. Maintain M-sport springs.3. Change all 4 absorbers. Maintain M-sport springs.4. Change all 4 absorbers and springs.I have driven my UDM for almost 3 weeks now, and clocked in about 1000km only. For now, i'm comfortable with the M-sport setup. Even i have to change, i might try to find something close enough to what is on the car already. Then again, i haven't been in another e46 with a customized setup to tell the difference. Will try to post some pictures soon. In the meantime, feedbacks appreciated.

Congrats bro on the new ride! :top: Show us some pics lerrr :4:

Itu lah... belum dapat amik gambar cun lagi. Been busy with family matter and work travel since gotten the car. Looking forward to next week EOD public holiday. Kalau ada TT next week boleh join. Banyak benda nak diperbincangkan ni! hehe

Hahaha ... I see you've gotten a 330 :top: Hahaha indeed we must meet up bro ... banyak racun errr i mean benda nak kena discuss haha :4:

This friday got OTT at Borneo Rainforest Sunway, 9.30pm onwards.....come come......racun served in all shape and sizes.... :)

OH NOES! haha will make it a point to join the TT this Friday bro Gendong. I'm afraid i'm racuning myself already with all the DIYs that many sifus here have shown. The racun force is strong with me...

Bro Beemer, i still owe u that kari kepala ikan as promised. hehe

Hehehehh Congrats...

Ive solved my uneven car by using spring buffer... After the mech measured my ride heigh left and right rare he install this:

Problem solved...

keep the msport springs..its the best compromise in terms of comfort and performance. For abs, one of the forummers here swear by Titans which can match closely as it can be set plus it can also be serviceable when the time comes.

C u all this friday for racunning session :)

I recall reading from this forum previously that the reason for the uneven ride is because UDM is engineered for left wheel drive and the right side is naturally lowered to compensate for the weight of the driver on the left side. When it is converted to right hand drive, no weight compensation is done and hence the UDM will weigh down on the right side. Was at SpeedWorks today to wash my K&N air filter and the chap confirmed this theory. He did mention that the damper as installed above can actually damage/break the spring and the best option is to install adjustable spring.

When I was changing to Titans, the uncle told me that as well, and he compensated for this with the new set.

So naturally it is supposed to sit lower on the rear right set. Interesting. How did the guys at Titan compensate this then? Lowering the left rear set?

Either way the bushes are due to be changed as cracks can be seen clearly. Anybody know if this can be done given the abs and springs are still in good shape?

A friend shared his experience having a failed absorber and still drivig the car. He damaged his drive shaft and had it replaced. What could have been a simpler and less expensive job to replace the suspensions came to be costlier. He drives an alfa 147 btw. Anybody can share other consequences of a failed absorber?

Not sure how they did it but he measured the ride height on all four corners, to show me pre and post install.

LOL... Of course he said it will break the absorbers so he can sell you a new one... Unless you potong spring and use dampers then its another story

Basically what the dampers do is just push the spring about 2 cm up to make sure the car is level... In Logic and also some mech advice... the dampers actually helps the absorber not the otter way around...

Well if you can afford a 330 why not the new abs and spring huh :) Heheheh Anyways Do update us on the performance change and look :p

bro swansonsz
My 330Ci also like that. Rear right lower than left side. Than change all 4 absober get higher abit by 1 finger than swap the spring left to right right to left also same...at the end lantak pi la... when i got more budget will go for titan like my E39 or zero one adjustable.
