As per subject, my rear door is stuck and could not be opened from both sides. Clearly, its due to the faulty actuator which I already have it sourced. My biggest concern in this matter is, how do I get the door opened without injuring my sweet little door panel? Has anyone encountered this problem and sorted it without hurting the door panel?

below is from bimmerforums....i personally think you cannot do this as the edges of the door card still sits between the door and the door cutout.hi probability the door card may get damaged....

It can be done. Pull up the bottom seat cushion. Get it out of the way. Hold onto the inside door grab handle and the

Thanks moots. Thats my last ever option on tearing off the door card. Sigh. At the moment, just hoping it will come up one of the days. Just to allow me to change the actuator. Its no rush and its rear passenger. Will analyze more before laying my hands on it.

Any other options other than tearing off the door card, fellas?

Oh sorry to hear that...
Did you try to remove your back seat...

No bro, I haven't touched anything yet. I need to be definitely sure on what I'm doing first before touching on anything. Just don't wanna break the old mama by doing something that was not supposed to. At the moment, trying to source for the panel, if I could get the exact match. Perhaps upon that, I will gain strength to tear it off. But that is Only on the inevitable last option.

Oh...
removing the rear seat is not a big prob bro...
try it by seating on the seat and at the same time try to press below the seat eaither left or right...
you will find the area that we can press...that is the lock button that will unlock the seat lock...

I'll try that mate. Thanks.

Hi Tee,

I had a bad experience two weeks ago with my drivers door just didn't open one day after i had finished work around 7pm. I had to jump in through the left passenger door to get into the drivers side. Next day my friend told me to bang softly from the inside door panel the actuator may come up by luck, well i tried it happen drove straight to Optimum next day morning got the actuator changed but be careful it also could be the the door lock that has jammed.

Cheers,

Sorry bro. Haven't got the time yet. Hoping if anyone wanna help do DIY during our 39 TT. Hehe..

I had same issue on my rear left door when i first got my car 2 years ago. Went to few places but most mechs dare not force open the door panel for fear of breaking it. Finally went to Naidu and they managed to open it without damaging it. FYI, it's not that easy to open if you don't know how. You're right it's the actuator.

Hi there, door still jammed?

I had both experience this year. 1) Rear passenger door, mechanic solved in a day, by taking out door panel (wasn't there, don't know how he did it). 2) Driver-side door, big problem! car was there for 3 days! and major work & knockings on stainless steel trims.... all done in Subang Jaya SS19, ShuanLoong. Speak to Mech before you decide...

Anyone tried themselves to pull out the rear door card without damaging it with the door closed ? I am planning to pull it off as the actuator died
a couple of days ago. Took my rear seats out already.
