Range indicator counting up!

Hi Bro's,Need your kind advise. Since 2 days ago, i am having problem with my Range indicator which is showing range increasing the more i drive! Normally it is showing the number reducing together with consumption but now it is doing the opposite thing. Anyone have experience on this, what could be the problem ? Any advise or place i can take to have a check up ?Thanks for the help.Bala.E39 2002 520i

it goes up if you travel long distance especially if previously you've been in city driving most of the time. I don't see it as a problem because the range will increase when you are more light footed or not stuck in traffic.
