Radio Freq for E39 Remote Key

Hi Sifu, Does anyone know what is the radio frequency used for the E39 remote key chip (diamond shape for year 2000 above) in M'sia? I was told that there are 2 types of frequency being used, 315 MHz and 433 MHz in oversea, any idea what is the radio freq used in M'sia? or any idea what is the FCC ID used in local E39 model?Thank you!!

bro for the rubber type key fob -M'sia,Euro its using Siemens chip- 433mhz , US type is using NEC chipset -315mhz. Correct me if i am wrong.. Oldtimers

thanks bro. If our key is using the same type of chip as what Euro is using, then the second hand or even a new set of remote key from UK or Euro countires should be able to work for our car if we buy from them, correct? of course the chip need to reprogramed and cut with a new key that match to our car.. kindly share your opinion..

theres 2 thing here, one is the elctronic to open/close ur door and theres transponder chip tht allow u to start the engine. im not sure if the transponder chip from othr car can be use to enable/disbale ews from ur car or not. but any fob with the same fcc id can be used. on my ckd at the back of the fob it shows fcc id LX8 FXV dont ask me if this denote 433mhz or wut. check wut urs 1st b4 u buy the replacement fob.

Mine is used car, bought from dealer and only came with 1 master key without the fcc id label. it's tough for me to identify what type of transponder chip or RF belongs to. i can only afford to go for buying used remote key from other car with hope to reprogram it as mine.. anyway, now i have additonal info to look for LX8 FXV as mine is also ckd. thanks a lot.
