Push start button light keep ON..

Dear All members,

Just received my first bimmer E60 LCI 2 days ago... Found that the push start button light keep on even the door locked for few hours..is this normal?

Try reset it yourself:

With ignition on but engine not running press and hold the left hand button on the cluster for 10 seconds,
This brings up a series of icons in the information panel of the cluster.
If you get a series of numbers and letters come up just turn off ignition and start again.

Release and hold again to scroll through the service items until you get to the one you want to reset.
As the item you want to reset comes up hold this button for 3 seconds until a message " reset " comes up release and hold button again for 3 seconds and the item is reset.

These resets are hard to operate and do require some practice to get them right.

If that doesn't help, you will need a BMW Scanner 1.4.0 or 2.0.1 to turn it off. It is easy. But when the light comes back, you should take it to the dealer or mechanic.

Push start light is not Service Reset right?

The light indicates that the car is not going to sleep.
Battery drain may happen - you will soon get a message.

Do you have comfort access?

Yes Bro Cafee, I have the comfort access..any advise on how to troubleshoot the issue?

Bro Duke, make sure your keys are not near the car.. keep it further.
Your car is not going to sleep because it detects the keys..
