From what was related by 7833, looks like this mechanic has lost our trust.

can i know where is WP Auto, i wanted to give a try over there to change my oil seperator valve together with the paip. please let me know the address and PIC

Oposite polce station Pandan Indah.

Albert Fang of WP Auto 0122017792.

albert won't have time to entertain us already la since everyone recommending him...haha...

i think the star, sun and moon not aligned properly for both of them.. hahahaha...
There are always rare cases where the mechanic would somehow f$%^ up one of those days.. So to base on 1 or 2 isolated cases to crucify him would be a bit unfair....

And also on the forum, we don't get to hear both sides of the story... Not to say that 7833 is making it up.. But it's human nature that when we tell a tale from our own perspective, it's normal to leave out certain details along the way..... ;)

I don't go to any of those workshops mentioned above so I can't comment.. There are good comments from those who are regular with BMWorks, but oso thanks to 7833 for sharing your experience....

Thanks 7833 for sharing and all those who have contributed/shared similar experiences.

I go to Albert for my E38. I must say, he is very knowledgeable, knows the car well and ultimately fixes the issue, without creating another issue. I find him to be honest and trustworthy. I recall when I first sent my E38 to him, I was on my way to the airport on a business trip for a week. I dropped the car with him and asked him to give it a thorough check and replace parts to make it feel like a solid E38. It took him a week and when I got my car back, it felt great......the car was washed, alligned and ready for me to drive off. Off course, there was a nice bill to accompany it la  He even called me after a few days in the evening to check if all was well with the car  He is a good guy.

All the best and do keep us posted on experiences with rogue mechanics or those who simply don't give a toss for our priced possessions!!!

Cheers - S

Having read thru the thread, I went to BM Works to get my car serviced and replaced my abs sensor cable (after the cable sleeves decided to give way). I did ask him what
happened over bro 7833 car. Anywhere, I bought all my stuff there and the workmanship comes to RM60 including resetting airbag light and replaced abs cable.

As I was regular there, I did not experience what bro 7833 and I did pop in on Sat
afternoon at about 2pm where he was doing the E38 with WSD plate no.
However I do know that Sat would not be a good day for servicing bcos of the crowd.

bmw7833, I am so sorry for your awful experience. If you guys are looking for a reliable and good bmw specialist, I would recommend Steven of Milan Motors in Taman Sungai Besi. I have been going to him for the past 17 years and he has maintained my E30, E34 and now E39 with pure professionalism.

.......agreed........and his s/parts man Mr. Chen. Knows them since the 80's, during my Alfa Romeo days....almost 30 yrs already ! Very professional and reasonable charges.

lucky me, after more than 3 years my mechanics always give me more than 100% happy result.
done my new arrived m-sport absorbers on 1st.April then make good all the leakings problem +
ATF ( 3rd. x at 183k km ) on 3rd April.

Speaking about M-Sport absorber... I have to ask this coz I have no clue on where to buy those absorbers for my E60. My regular workshop, M1 in Kayu Sg Ara said that they didn't have those in case I want to replace.
I tried to ask Soon Huat PJ but they didn't sell those...
Appreciate your input

Bro Thule, You can try Bavarian Auto or Stuttgart. I'm sure they have it... If not stocks, they just order only mah ! Even my 1 man show mech Bestness Motorsports in Ara Damansara can get you those M-Sport absorbers....

Hi,
Having read the comments in this thread, have a related question regarding BMWorks Batu Caves services. Does Vasu do a pre-purchase inspection? I haven't found what I'm looking for yet (1996 E34 525(A)), but was thinking that when I do, I'd ask Vasu to inspect the car first.

If Vasu does not do any pre-purchase inspection, is there any recommended mechanic for it?

thanks

Damn everytime I read the thread's title, I feel my saliva is coming out of my mouth:tongue:

I thought this Vasu fella was quite highly recommended by some forumners here. Personally I have never been there but hearing what you shared, scary.

Just be carefu & cautiousl of recommendations. Its not 100% true. There are some plp who writes good stories but 'untrue' or might 'collaborate' with workshop owners. Dont want to comment any further. Sensitive topic. Sun Tzu says: Be wary of pleasant words rather than a person who speaks little.
