eh...i want to join also le..but scare to scrap my chassis if runwide into the gravels...any words of comfort? esp when drive too slow kene cucuk and lost control....

The track is very wide, and there wont be many cars on the track since we only have a total of ~30. If you see a gung ho yahoo closing up fast, move over and let him pass. Thats what I do all the time. There will be much faster cars and drivers for the day, so no need to compete with them la. Just have fun with your own car and watch your mirrors

but my BBS with 19' is very risky on the track, unless i go get a set of 18's. 19' too low profile not safe for tracking IMO.

Depends how hard you drive . Yeah I agree, to take it easy on the hardware nothing more than 5 laps at one go. 1 out lap 2-3 laps 1 in lap. Then cool down and sibuk chit chat at the pits then out again.

HI EVERYONE !MUCHACHOS!!! Looks like OUR track day is becoming a reality.. I thank you all very much guys for the support.. Sorry was a bit quiet this past few days. Been hectic for me. Super bz... Alas, some GRRRREAAAT news for u guys.. :

1- I have invited 2 professional photographers (Nikon freak using D3)
2- 1 Official Ferrari Technician/Mechanic on standby just to help out should there be any minor problems. Any car also he can do waaaan.. (He has taken annual leave to attend as he is the photographer as well )
3- I am trying to get some one to sponsor drinks and watnot. Should be able to... I hope
4- Got Asian Auto to cover this event and should be published in September 2009 issue.
5- We think there's gonna be more than 30 (limit to 50 only ..so those who wanna join please register ASAP as first come,first serve)
6- More than 30 pax , so good news is u will be getting refunds from your earlier payment of RM400. Final figure on D day!
and last but not least....
7- can someone PLEASE sponsor some track Girls in hotpants? :top::21:arty::dancing2::dancing2:

We are gonna make payment on Monday Aug 3rd to Kumar and we'll ask what other rules we might need to adhere to.

Rides with passenger allowed but both must wear HELMETS.. Helmets are a must..

Also, to all other BMWCLUBMALAYSIA CITIZENS ..You are cordially invited to this PRIVATE event , even just to watch , walk around the pit , take photos etc.... No helmet required unless u just need to wear one

Just take it easy.. No NEED to drive hard unless YOU WANT and ABLE to.. It's not a race ... YOU don't have to prove anything to anyone ..
The objective is JUST TO HAVE FUN.. There's NOTHING to be won.. In my words.. Just layan korner laaaa... MELEFERRRRR! Mana lagi mau layan korner SAFELY maaa.. at the most masuk gravel ajer IT IS JUST ANOTHER ROAD ! The only difference is this road goes round and round and round and round and round ..and it is a super nice road I am also a newbie in a slow car so let those other super sifus in super cars pass lah.. they know the rules of the track..so, things should be fine.. If you stray out of your raceline.. DO NOT >>i repeat>> DO NOT TRY to regain it immediately .. you'll just be confusing those behind you.. It's NOT a RACE..

just a quick one b4 i sign up today (hope its not too late..kekeke), how's the condition of the track? i mean outside the racing line, are there lots of pebbles and stones (as usual)? just worry my car cannot come back in 1 piece...haha

Like Funj have said, the track is wide enuf and don't have to worry much on the outside pebbles & stones. More so our cars are well equiped with the DSC & DTC which makes it hard for you to go out of control as long as it is well within the limit. I have tried few times OFF everything and yet is still can be well control So, don't worry, you & your car will definitely be alright :top: Come come and join the fun.

I got 400bhp,but track day time....er I got work la,my tyre out la,my office got some technical problems la and many..many more la. It's norm here.

Spaceman..

-Just yield and give way(stay off the lines)if got faster car from behind.
- dun tailgate. ( and there'll be no pebbles from car infront to hit you)
-Do not turn and slam the brakes on corners..not trying to scare you. Just steer straight,the gravel trap are built to not let you hit the wall( only ego will be hurt not your car but at least you are in ONE piece )...unlike certain car,I saw...first timer,not even warmed up the brakes and tyres ,he hantam full throttle thinking that the traction control can keep him on the track but and can't even finish a lap. Take it easy lor.
-go click and search on youtube on Steering wheel hand placement and I'm sure you'll fine plenty. Tips: try Ian Khong( hand placement) Sitting position or go...

I believe the track should be pretty clean as there is some MME race the weekend before. Only time u may get gravel and stone chips if you follow too closely cucuking the guy in front and he panicks and dips his wheels in the gravel/grass areas sending all kinds of crap towards you close behind LOL.

So if its your first time and you start taking it easy to get familiar with the track and gradually increase pace, you should be totally out of this sorts of trouble.
