Possible to Install M50B25 Engine into a E36 318is?

Hi I am wondering is it possible to bolt on a M50B25 Engine into a 318is while retaining 318is gearbox. While the engine fit the gearbox? Cause I am trying to cut cost by keeping my stock gearbox and drive shaft etc till I have the money to change them.Thanks!

It is not possible. The gearbox mounting point is diff.

yes, can be fitted.. cos it's a e36 type, as for the e30is, it can't due to the angle of the engine slanted..

only thing i m not sure, is the length of the longshaft due it's 6 cylinder length.

yes .....u need to modified it if u intend to change d real axle to 3.15 which is big housing axle ....
