Almost all the photos taken at the BMW Assembly Plant was taken in the briefing room as they do not allow any photos to be taken inside the plant itself.

After the briefing it was off to the Plant Tour in batches. It was an experience by itself, watching bmws being assembled piece by piece until it was wholesome again!

Reminds me of my younger days, fixing airfix model planes and then painting them before hanging them on the ceiling!:love:

so here we are back at the briefing room after the tour.

From the plant it was to Auto Bavaria at Glenmaire, approx 40 cars in a row along Federal Highway!

Here at Auto Bavaria, there were certain areas that I couldnt take photos of , so not all of what the members saw on that day are shown here. ( privilege of being an official member i guess :listen: )

A short briefing before we were given a tour,of the parts store, the body works and the service area.

At the Service are, they had 27 car bays





In the diagnostic room, which is air conditioned as to ensure all readings and results are accurate.







The service manager briefed us too and announced a small competition for BMWCM



A 3 series and a 5 series were lined up for our tyre changing contest













oops he needed a hand from a pro here...



someone couldnt complete the contest cos someone was slow in loosening the nuts!

After the Tour, everyone made a beeline to the buffet, many skipped lunch to be here for this tour.

The MD of Auto Bavaria, Mr. Mathias welcoming BMWCM. In his speech he said that AB always wants to work together with BMWCM and would like to have an event every 6 months with BMWCM.





As part of AB's 20 years celebration in Malaysia, AB wants to loan cars from all models from year 1988 to present. The cars would go on a roadshow throughout the country. Further details get in touch with the committee.

Prize giving ceremony for the quiz held at the Plant and the tyre change contest.

















Thats the end to a rewarding day at the both the plant and the Service centre. Thanks to the committee to a job well done and as well as to Auto Bavaria for making this possible.
