hi guyslast two weeks i sent my car for an oil change. but yesterday when i checked the dipstick, it shows the oil is 5-6mm above the maximum mark. no wonder i feel a bit heavy. i dont drive my car every day. thats why it took me almost 2 weeks to realized. how this over fiiled oil affecting my engine? will it cause damages ? is there any way i can remove the excess oil myself without jacking up my car and remove the oil nut (plug). ? please advise..thanks*m50b20

Can siphon out from the dipstick opening. 5-6mm is very little and the excess oil should be able to escape through the engine breather outlet through time.

yup i did that, buy the small hose (aquarium oxygen hose) about 2-3m and suck it man, been there done that, but becareful not to oversuck and tertelan, later u will get high like glue sniffing :top:

Get the workshop to do it if you are not sure.. swallowing ATF is deadly..

5 to 6mm is about 500ml or half a liter... it will harm your engine a bit, but the oil will foam up quickly...

Foaming will cause oil to jadi pekat.. ya ka pussy?.. :p

Your car no dipstick la.. their older generation got dipstick... so their's should be unquestionable.. :p

overfill can cause over heating right?

When over fill engine, engine will run a little hotter because load increases when the rotating crank keep hitting into the now higher level oil... just 5mm la.. not 5 cm.. :p

thanks guys..

one more thing, the most accurate time to check oil level. when the engine is cold or hot or warm?

it doesn't matter. But of course, the engine oil will be a bit more during hot/warm as fluid expand.
only check it at level surface, and 30 minutes after engine shutdown to wait for oil to return to crankcase.

mr mouse, sounds like a hardcore advise... with raw tools.. ! Ilike it, but kalau tertelan its no longer like sniffing glue already man.. worse! eh! have u ever heard people drinking petrol.. eating glass and so on..? anyway, for me, I agreed with astroboy.. let engine breather outlet do the job, its only 5mm...
