Of course, by the time I save enough, it might be an E60 that I'll be restoring.

thanks bro.. honestly creating this thread wasn't to inspire others, but to serve as a guide to those considering the restoration of old BMWs'. i am without doubt there are better ways than how i am approaching this project. in fact, i hope there'll be guys like johnj & tamade7 out there who'll do a much better job.

these guys are good .... :top::top: but sadly if anything should go wrong for their disregard to Safety, Mizhan's car will be the only car done there ..... :banghead::banghead: :star::star:if you know what I mean ....:eek:

thanks for pointing out the observation dzul.. they have at least worked on a dozen cars after mine left their shop, and many more queueing incl a buddy's escort mk2. however i do agree their occupational safety leave much to be desired.
 
Paint Primer (colour base-coat)

Paint primer was applied after the body primer stages were satisfactory. For the selected paint colour, PPG specified grey basecoat.

I have never seen a glossy base coat.. damn.... I wish I could do this as well.. If I were to be in your shoes, this will be my garage queen sitting on a turn table like the ones in the car show...

agreed bro ....but being involve with work where safety is no compromise, I just feel I need to say something....hope u understand.....:)
