another thing is that we need about 9 cooks since there is 3 grills available. i.e. 3 cooks per grill. rotate at one hour interval. i don't it is fair for the cooks to spend all the time at the grill and miss out the fun. I can cook for one hour.

Wat else to do? - my suggestion's to get back to basics with the theme of the event - "Who r u?"
One good way to kno really each other's to get out from behind each other's forum nic & tell each other what their real names are & why r how they got to chosing their nickname for the forum. B)

bout volunteer cooks tu i think shld face no prob ... no doubt some thangs r better to b planned n coordinated in advance but cook wise, i believe "life will find its way - jeff goldblum fr movie jurassic park".

For those using number plate holders...can we make an extra plate wif
our own nicks? Then when we exit fr the highway, everyone change
their front number plates to their nicks? Since the theme of the event
is "Who r u?"

We can keep our nick plates for future events 2...

anyway, cld anyone make a quick count as to how many ppl hev penned down their names so far i nthe list (p[lus spouse n all).

club commitee : cld any of u b kind nuff to edit the thread topic to OFFICIAL, thx heaps.

n also cld anyone suggest of activities we cld possibly hev there between arrival of guests fr convoy n BBQ event WITHOUT comin up wiv a big COST, thanx. or perhaps u guys prefer a free n ez activities i.e lazin around, talk rubbish wiv frens, viewin fellow forummers' cars etc. tho personally i feel its not a necessity as we need as many help as possible to prepare on the food, drinks, logistic setup n all. furthermore, some of u guys may b goin out to arrange fer accomodations, family needs etc

full detailed itenerary of the event will b posted in dis 2 or 3 days hopefully, stay tuned. n it is also hoped dat we cld come up wiv checklist a week or so b4 the event, it might b handy to us all i.e basic dos n donts durin convoy ESP to those who r new to club convoys

My 2 cents on organized activities at PD: Keep It Simple & Short

1) have a free n e z get-everybody-to-meet-each-other program as der participants arrive - mebbe organize a 2-3 person meet, greet & orientate cummittee (if needed, I can help out)

2) have a half/one-hour discussion-led bawah pokok workshop on any suggested topic say, about selecting tyres wheels & suspensions/ understanding BMW fuel & ignition systems/ optimizing power & handling or any other UDM motoring topic (would be nice if we could have a panel of our e-forum sifu's to lead)

Yeah. Actually I prefer a free & easy outing. We're already bogged down by schedules and agendas everyday. let's not make us feel as though we're going to work or something....hahaha.....

When it's too structured, it's kinda difficult for everybody to be minggling with everybody. At the end of the trip, we want everybody to know everybody's name. That would be an achievement!!!
