Get it replaced ASAP...if not you are just wasting petrol only. Your fuel comsumation will suffer.

Dunno about MY price...in SG, it cost about $140...dun bother with used ones...cos sometime its going to kaput too. I wasted $40 to buy one that lasted for 3 month only....pay for a new one instead.

Thanx jarance n ghost .... that means by not changing this my FC will become more rite .... is that correct ... i just wanna know exactly what is the function of this O2 sensor ... n what will happen if never change it

The O2 sensor determine the combustion of the engine. This info is feed to the ecu which determined the right amount of fuel to be injected after considering the air flow (from the MAF or AFM). If your O2 sensor is kaput, then the ecu would use a default value. Result loss of power and higher fuel consumption.

After a few month, higher fuel consumption will pay for the O2 sensor if you did not replace it.

take note, sometime the modic will give false info about o2 sensor. It could be caused by other things as well.

Thanx bro ... but my car is stock no any modification n i think it is really faulty coz losing in terms of performance n also consumption bad ... can u recommend any good workshop n reliable 1 .... so i always can service n consult them

First thing to do is to reset your computer (not with Ctrl-Alt-Del or reset key). But REMOVE the negative terminal of your battery for 30 mins then reconnect it.

Give it a drive for a day or two. Check your FC again and expected power. The initial hour after reset the car could run worse, then it will improve. This may fix the problem if your Lamda (O2) sensor is still OK. If that is kaput, it will be no change in the way the car feels compared to before.

If your car has over 70thou KM, best to replace the Lamda sensor with a new one. Original BMW one , not a Bosch OEM one. BMW is heated sensor with properly calibrated voltage swings.

Goo luck.
