Hi all sifu's,I get Sam from Hi-tech wheels @ sbn to test drive my 328i y97 yesterday.his comment is " good choice"!.. :D but he strongly advise me to flush out the gear oil and change which will cost around rm600. Is that reasonable? Then, he diag teh engine and the result is only 1 failure which is o2 sensor failed. I t will impact my FC and engine performane in the long run. 1 pc of 02 sensor will cost me rm 800 X 2 = rm 1600. Others, he will change all wear & tear parts (bushes, wheel bearing etc.).the total is yet to know as i'll meet with him again today. :getyourfactsright: Pls advise before i say 'yes'! thanks in advance. "aiyak. ..koyak my $$$ for 17" rim... :p !

RM 600? expensive lee.... flushing & replace ATF (BMW original) and rear diff oil will not cost more than 400++

If your "buy" is a good choice why need to replace all the bushes, bearings and etc??

As for the O2 sensor, get it reset and drive it for a couple of days and have it check again, see if the fault still exist before replacing the sensor.

Fren,

You did the right thing. When you buy a second hand car definitely you need to send to the specialist for inspection. Get all the old worn part change before you push your babe to the limit. This is a good prevention action to avoid future problem.

Enjoy your ride dude!
