Hi all,Just got myself a E36 318i (A) 1997 that needs a bit of doing up. Am new to this and not too sure as to where to source the Items. I currently live in Seremban and the car is being used as a weekend drive as most weekends are spent in Port Dickson.Items that need replacing/changing1. Glove compartment lower compartment that opens and closes2. Tweeters (one side cover broken) 3. Mud flaps (none on the car)4. Car has upgraded radio/CD player but want to try and get original radio5. Car has BMW 15 in sports rims and would like to source the original rimsAny help would be greatly appreciated, used or new items items will be considered. Lastly not sure if these questions have been posted before on the forum but i have tried to search but not successful.

Guys,

Have had a look through Mudah.my and found two glove boxes there, one unfortunately is grey and the other is black that fits with my car interior. Will start looking at some Potong Shops to source the glove box as am not sure what condition the ones advertised are. Found a thread here on how to glue the glove box but mine needs replacing as one of the hinges has broken off. Are there any suggestions that can be provided here as really wud appreciate some advise on how to go about this. Forgot to mention that this is the my first BMW after years of dreaming of owning one.

About those mudflaps, mine doesn't have one and I do not recall seeing an e36 with one :D

Might be wrong here but doing a google search, dont see any with one too :)

i occasionally see some aunties driving E36 in our residential area with ori mudflaps and bottlecaps. most are four-pots but one of them i know is a 328i..

ubi congrats on your newly owned UDM. the glove compartment u can find at the chop shop. so do the mud flap as it is a rare item today. if you want center console do tell. i changed mine to e46 as the only thing that lack in our e36 is that there is no cup holder. so u need to drive and hold your drink along the way till u finished it :)

i just put the drinks on the center of my lap! feels cold and refreshing! problem solve! LOL!

careful dude or else you need to get viagra

Thanks for the responses guys, after the comments about "Aunties" driving beamers with mud flaps and bottle cap rims I am now reconsidering that option despite getting a free set of bottle cap rims from a mate of mine who upgraded his rims many moons ago and were sitting in his shed collecting dust.

The cup holder not really an option as wifey can always do the center console function while driving, and I prefer sitting at a bar to enjoy a drink :) The chop shop it is then for the glove box.

Cheers

Ubi,
My humble advice. Accessories can be later. Whenever u get 2nd hand car. Check and change the most important one such as radiator, water pump, fuel pump, belting. If ur car vibrate when speeding, do check ur long shaft. Replace the engine oil, gearbox oil and axle oil.

Then, u can get M3 bodykit with spoiler, change ur rim size. 17' is minimum.

Saz,

Thanks for the advise, will definitely do that first. Still thinking about the 17 in rims though. How much improvement can be felt by upgrading the rims?

got rid of my mudflaps when an unknown mechanics made a joke out of it....
i straight away asked him to remove em. Sold em thru Mudah.

congrat on ur new ride bro......yeah check avry thing bro... first come first.....cosmatic can came later..heheheh

rim upgrade comes with fuel consumption upgrade as well.....stylo at a cost bro...
Unless buying original lightened rims which are REALLY expensive
