Newbie HERE Need LESSON

BMWI am new to BMW, I used to prefer Mercedes but now my attention is shifting towards the BMW and wish to learn about it. What do I know about the BMW? It looks good! Even if some of the BMW Series is said to look ugly in pictures, when I see them in person, damn it sure has its class and I would surely take it if I was offered one haha! I mean who would say no.Now my first question is, I know the Series but I don't understand this E90, E91 and all that E. Anyone cares to explain?Second, surely I wish to own a BMW. Our Malaysian TAX is one BLOODSUCKER! Just compare BMW prices in foreign countries like the U.S to Malaysia, we are paying way more to own cars they can own easily to the extent that some call the BMW 3 Series the poser mobile ( the cheap rich wanna be BMW ) Hell..But THE ROCK says ,"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU THINK!":68: Hehe, so my second question is which BMW Series would you go for and why?Third question, what do you think about the BMW 120i Series?Fourth question, let's say I wish to settle for the BMW 3 Series, which one of the 3 Series would you recommend that I go for and why?Fifth question, let's say I wish to go for the BMW 3 Series Convertible, which year model should I go for? Perhaps I might just settle for a second hand car as paying so much for a brand new car might just make me feel a lot of money wasted. But of course, not a crappy bloodsucking second hand. I'll see how it goes when the time comes..That's all for now! I wish my questions will be answered, thank you so much for your time!

E90 et al are all 3-series, the current range of 3-series.

As for which 3-series, get the 320D. Best bang for buck plus best fuel economy.

Thank you so much for the replies guys and for the warm welcome also. I understand now. Btw after further browsing I am very much interested with the BMW 3 Series Convertible as well as the BMW 1 Series 135i Coupe. So I am choosing between the two. My sister is a medical student in Indonesia, tax is way lower there not to mention the currency, so I would buy through her.
