need some info E46-E39

Dear All,I am newbie here. I have a question to ask if you guys here don't mind to answer.E39 alloys wheels can fit to E46 or not? I saw an advertisement that he wants to sell a set of E39 alloy wheels and then he doesn't really sure its can fit to my car E46 Salon model.

Can not, as the offset are different for e46 and e39.
