Need help - Ignition not smooth

Hi Folks,Need your help again, anyone ever faced difficulties during engine ignition on your e34?Now days, i've to step-on the gas while ignition, otherwise the engine wont ignite. It's start to happen since last few months.Anyone can spot the fault?BTW, my e34 is 525 12v engine 1990.

fuel pump, get it change together with ur fuel filter.

1st check the fuel pump n filter...if not must be one or could be more than one sensor not working well

sensor such as afm..cam sensor..or etc..must be one of them..get it diagnos to know which need to be replace..

Thanks all for the advise...

I'm kinda DIY person... i will start troubleshoot with fuel filter and pump first (that's what i'm suspected most)...

Another symptom, if the engine just shutdown (within 5 minutes), it's easy to re-start back the engine... but if i more than that, i have to step on the gas paddle to re-start.... u got what i mean?

a competent mechanic shud address ur issues. let me know if you need me to point you to one, at least you'll get another opinion.

since urs is 12v m20 engine, u can check ur distributor rotor, i jus changed mine as sometimes hard to start.

fuel filter

Just changed fuel filter last saturday, the ignition just working fine... one time key's turn, no need to push the paddle...
