Dear all sifu and pro's, I'm a new bird here and mine is E46 318i 2.0L (4cylinder-valvetronic) with 17" rim, as my car is just only can make 350km per full tank petrol, and the meter show 17L+-/100km in city drive. Beside, sometimes my car vibrate so hard even its at the 'N' gear. Is that any problem with my car as i ade did a huge service included the top engine overhaul, need advice from you all the pro's and sifu, thanks a lot !!!!!

First check your spark plug. Then check your ignition coils.
350km per tank is way too high.
btw, when did you last service your car and where you have done it?

Thanks my pro! i'm sure i hv changed those spark plugs ade, but i'm not sure that they did change my ignition coils or not. I did this huge service last month as they took abt 3 weeks time to do that included the top engine overhaul together. I sent my car to Bayernz auto works (the BMW specialist in Penang) as this forum's pro introduced me. I'm so upset coz my trouble could not settle after this fatal service. Any others suggestion or advice from you (or others pro's)? Your opinion will mostly appreciated!

Bro, it was a long list in the bill, as i left it in my car and what i simply remember are as below:
1) changing engine mouthing; body mouthing; spark plugs; timing change grill; 4 pcs of sensors; oil seperator; engine oil; petrol pedal; oil filter and etc.
2) top overhaul included: 1 set of top gasket; valves; head grinding and etc.
it must be somethings i forgot. Any ideal for it? Your opinions are most appreciated!

Hi,
Which type of petrol you guys are using? Ron 95 or Ron 97.
If you using Ron 95, try Ron 97 and compare the milage. I was like getting 400km to 430km on Ron 95 and now about 480km to 500km on Ron 97. I also got the throttle body, MAF sensor clean up.

From what you describe, its like you have almost changed your whole engine! Your FC is way too high bro. Mine is also like your model except it is year 2004. I can get 500km easily with a full tank - bit more in fact , and I have been using RON 95 ever since I bought the car.
