Any one knows how to delete the nav memory. My car is a 2005 530i jap spec. Thanks

What do you mean by delete nav memory? What are you trying to achieve? If you intend to use the Jap nav on our roads, then forget it. Only way is to change the CCC or add a 3rd party GPS

Alxy,

Thanks for the respond.
What I meant was deleting the Jap map off the Nav system. Its just that sometimes while driving and listening to the music suddenly the music stops and there's this voice saying that the next junction to whatever is so many meters away. Its a pain in the ass.
I don't intend to use our road maps on the Jap nav cos I know its not going to work.

if i am not mistaken the Jap Nav CCC has an HDD built in to store the map...so i think the only way is to 'do' something to this strorage...

The slot for the HDD is empty. So the Jap road map must be stored somewhere. I probably have to live with that voice.

u can actually turn off the voice navigation...go to navi...then perspective/map view...then on the speaker icon select to disable...

Is there a HDD? I thought there would be a DVD for the maps in the boot? Mine was like that. I also thought the Nav wouldn't work over here. Maybe your is the newer version with HDD
