I got the guy's contact from Facebook. He came to my house to install it. Give him a call to find out best place for installation.FaridZainol said:How much is it? Can we make it look glossy?
Personally I find that the power is there, transmission shift isn't affected but honestly I never liked the original BMW shifting to begin with (especially on track). The issue i have with the automatic gearbox is that even in Manual mode, it truly isn't as it tends to shift the gears automatically and still has a bit of lag when shifting gears.FaridZainol said:Mark can u share more review on ur ecu remap pls? How the transmission shift, daily driven feel compared to stock & the extra power. Im looking forward to remap my car as well but couldnt found any review..
Bro, just to check does your car still shifts gear upwards even in Manual mode? Do u have paddle shifters?Mavik said:The issue i have with the automatic gearbox is that even in Manual mode, it truly isn't as it tends to shift the gears automatically and still has a bit of lag when shifting gears.
That is awesome bro, can I ask where did you get the person who flashed your gearbox for you? I know Alpina also made a Diesel version of the E90 (D3 bi-turbo) which also uses the same 6-speed automatic gearbox. I would love to have a better software for the current gearbox.silverbullet said:Bros, I have updated the gearbox software on my previous 335i and current car. It does make a difference in terms of smoother gear change and gear learning especially on downshifts. For the 335i, there is a special Alpina gearbox software that offers:
- Faster shifts
- Almost no loss of power in between shifts
- Almost no torque limiter
- Faster launches
- Faster paddle response times
- Center cluster will now show D1,D2,D3,D4,D5,D6 rather then just D
Maybe can check if it is also applicable for 320d or if not find something similar. Anyway happy modding bros.
Yes it shifts gear upwards even in manual mode. No paddle shifters. You should see the faces of my track instructors when they take turn 9 for the first time in my car haha. From downshifting to 2nd gear, the moment we want to power out of the corner, it brings it back to 4th.silverbullet said:Bro, just to check does your car still shifts gear upwards even in Manual mode? Hi bro. There is a DIY (for 335i) for this gbox flash using WinKFP. The link can be referred here (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=873746) and I have also pasted the basic guides below.Mavik said:That is awesome bro, can I ask where did you get the person who flashed your gearbox for you? Oh I used to feel that nuisance too when first driving the 335i, until I discovered need to put the gear stick in DS mode and then use paddle shifters to play with the gears manually, then the gear would hold irregardless of the rpm. Not sure on 320d without paddle shifters tho.Mavik said:Yes it shifts gear upwards even in manual mode. No paddle shifters.
