Is it auto or manual? I believe with manual you can get 700km+. Saying that, mix driving city + highway gives me around 550-600km roughly.

I haven't really gone for a very long highway drive yet, but I presume with manual you can extract that extra 100-150km, no matter whatever the engine size. Go for manual! :)

infinity ..ya ride seems to be very healthy .... 620 km driven with speed exceeding over the 110kmh mark ( 150kmh~160kmh ) is indeed a good sign of a healthy beemer ...

ooo really? bt bro actually i always used to travel from KL to Penang...so for one way trip it wil cost me RM50 (around 32L) oil to reach Penang which will be a mileage of 360KM...bt if you see on the other hand like city driving,i wouldnt get much mileage...

may be should use SHELL hehehe "more mileage with SHELL" joking joking

Guys,
I have questions for you guys...

Is there any difference in terms of fuel consumption, using ROn97 or Ron 95? I heard some people said even though Ron97 is expensive, but a car can gofurther, anybody can verify that?

My second question, is there any effect in terms of car reliability using Ron 95? Is it safe for the engine? shorter lasting engine maybe?

3rd question, can i get rough idea, how many forummer here, using Ron95 and Ron 97?

Thanks guys :)

by the way, owning my e36 for 2 weeks so far, my fuel consumption in Shah Alam city, is "below" RM0.20 perkm...is that considered average? (it is manual anyway)

erm nt really sure about FC bro bt as i heard around they said RON95 cause you more carbon in your engine and the fuel burn out fast.B4 this i was using RON95 bt after advised from a fren of mine change my mind to fill in RON97...If you really sayang your car le go for 97 bro hehehe

here's mine:

trip: Melaka-Kota Bharu
Fill: RM100
Clocked: 677km non-stop drive until the red light turned on
Speed: Granny :)

what about 325i Auto. Mine is clocking around 420km per full tank till redlight comes out. Quite a drinker. I suspect my exhaust or plugs require attention

assuming full tank RM100/420km = RM0.23 per km, which means at an average, 1km ur car drink 23 sen of fuel. mine 14sen/km. but thats another story for 4 potters lah
