 hi all the sifu welcome back after long holiday. i have a problem how 2 fix the silver gauge ring ? did i need to open the whole dash board? For model e36. i try to open the 2 screw infront of meter but can't take it out? did any 1 tau? boleh share ur experience?thx & regard.

After unscrewing the screws, it shouldn't be a problem to slide it out. The only problem i had last time was the steering wheel was in the way. I had to tilt out the meter at a certain angle.

I can't remember how many screws were there though.

remove the 2 screws . as u face the meter at drivers position push in the right side . as the left pops out pull it on the left at the 10 o'clock angle behind the steering . Slowly unplug the cables .

There are five screws behind the cluster . remove them and take out the blue base.

The detach the black plastic cover . The are 4 swirl likr clips ..turn it and pull slowly.

Once the black front panel out. Insert the rings thru the back.

fix it back .

Please make sure the steering is at the lowest position.

wish i could show u ./...

hopw this helps . :D

If your steering wheel is not adjustable, then you have to remove it in order to remove the instrument cluster.
