Hi all masters, I have short listed a BMW 318i, Japan Specs. Pls help as, 1. It does not come with CD Changer but Navigator with Business MD. Will it be easy for me to purchase a third party CD Changer, install on top of the navigator unit located at the chasis inside the car boot? Or i have to look for the ori one, and how much does it cost?2. Radio frequency up to 90 only. What should i do? Is there any preseting i could configure?

As long as you have $$$... nothing is impossible :D
I can recommend you to a reputable audio shop if you are interest... and should you really purchase this car! PM me...

Hi Shaifulo,

Thanks for the radio frequency way, i will try it and update you.

Are you having the same concern that i am having? A Jap E46, 318i, '04 without CD Changer at the boot but MD Player only? How can i do it with 3rd party brand CD Changer, will it work with the TV/ Display perfectly? For example, displaying song title, CD Changer option, etc?

i dun have the same problem as yours, mine is a jap spec car alright but I do not have the MD Player, only the normal BMW CD changer....sorry cant help you there

I try it on my E46 and it work. "Business version"

Procedure is as follow:-

1. Off the radio when the ignition is turn to "accesories" position.
2. Turn on the radio by pressing the "ON" key. Keep holding the "M" key within 10 second after the radio is turn on until you see the LED display on the radio display the serial number.
3. After the serial number is display, press hte "+" key until you see the area. Your display should display "Japan".
4. Press "1" for USA, "2" for Europe, "3" for Japan or "4" for "Ocenic".
5. To set the key, I think you just the "On" button again or something like that..

Thank for the links by previous poster.. (ron and shaifulo)

BTW, when you set the clock on the display dashboard, the time on the radio will also follow the time shown on the dashboard.

But I think it's not working in 99 models, right? I tryed to do it in mine but there was no option for the country. I was sooo sorry. any way I'm using my mobil radio. not bad.
any body know how to do it in my 99 model? Sicne the brand is differrent.

Well same goes to my cassette player....apparently some models would come with the units that have the world tune function and some don't...
