Hi all, Theres this discussion with a fren of mine debating bout which is cheaper to maintain, jap cars, or conti like bmwsMaintenance as in those normal wear and tear, do conti cost much much more than japs? or the price depend on supply/demand? heard that brake pump for japs rm200 plus labour, as for conti its X4 without labour, issit that scary?Other maintenance like labour cost, max to max labour cost for jap car is about rm200 per session max in general, whereas labour for brake pump is around rm300 min. Thats what i heard from a fren who drove both jap and contisso with that, would like to know those who owns cars like e30 or e36, does a repair for bmw cost nuclear bomb or its just that my friend do not have close friends who owns conti workshop?Thnx and Regards

Good make like Honda, Toyota, Nissan will be a lot cheaper to maintain.

Most new JP cars only need Oil & Filter Change, will get you to 100,000 km and beyond.

I never seen a Conti Car can do that.

Depends of what kind of Jap car, actually.

For Corrolla and Civic, Accord etc, there is not argument. They win hands down.

If you are talking about Integra or RX8, they can be a headache as well...

IC IC, Thanx for the info, gave me some assurance before going into car hobby. Whatever it is, guess its just cash u need in order to play around with a car, if no cash, even the cheapest maintenance will kill you.

Integra are ok wat, RX8, mazda never top in reliability. Dont go mod AFC, hotbits, kinda ah beng mod can liao.
