Bodykit - M5 Anybody want to split?

Hi Folks,Been thinking about getting rid of the rather weak looking front bumper of my 520d for a while and the best option seems to be the M5 replicas. Been quoted RM 2,900 for the whole kit excluding the quad exhaust and RM 3,500 with the exhaust. Excluding paintwork. My problem is that, I don't drive an M5 and I don't want my car to be an M5! All I want is to replace my front bumper. Most shop refuses to sell just the front while one shop quoted me RM 3,000 just for the replica front???This brings me to this topic, is there anyone here that's keen on the replica M5 sides skirts and rear bumper only? If yes, I'd be willing to take reasonable sum for them. I've not bought the kit yet as I wasn't too keen on having the pieces lying around collecting dust. Do PM me if there are any interested party. Where have you been asking and they told you you cant get just the Front Bumper? If am not Mistaken i thought the Replica front Bumper of an F10 M5 wont fit the the non-M5 Models cos of the Fenders of an F10 M5 is more wider* as you also have to Change the Fenders too...do check properly so that you dun make any mistakes...:top:

correct! if you're keen to change to M5 bumpers, you need to change the both front side body panels, as the front bumper for the M5 is wider than normal 5 series. If you go for M-Sport bumper, it's a direct replacement.

But IMHO, it's better to go for the full kit. Or it'll just look out of proportion a.k.a rojak look.

You are also Correct as changing only the F10 M5 Front Bumper only will make the Ride lookout of proportion, but i dont think its possible unless you want them do knock your car and sommore there will be unnecessary gaps between the Fenders and the Bumper...should be best to change to M-Sport Bumber...plug and play:top:

Thanks for the feedback folks but as usual I'm quite particular about my mods and yes I've done ample research on the matter. There are 3 version of the M5 replica in the market now.

1) M5 actual dimensions, requires side
2) M5 styling but narrower to fit normal mere mortal F10's
3) M5 styling, narrower and with fog lamp mounting molded to the grill.

And yes, I do know the difference between M5 and M-spec/tech, these are definitely M5 styling.

With regards to where I've checked, been to a couple of shops in Sunway and called a few online, none are willing to sell front bumper. Even the guys selling Prior Design is not willing to sell front only.

With regards to proportions, as long as I stick to option #2 or #3, I'm ok with the looks since the side skirts that comes with it is identical to the ones in M-sport, those basically doesn't do anything with regards to the flow of the car lines.

Bro I did talk to Billy of Racing Fit Sunway and he told me that he can sell to you only the F10 M5 Front Bumper and i asked him about the Price and he stated MYR 1,800.00 but you can negotiate the Price with him but for me i feel its rather too Expensive (Maybe bcos i dont like the F10 M5 Front Bumper Personally :wink i also read your Post the someone quoted you MYR 3,000.00 :stupid: for just front Bumper! Thanks bro, I actually spoke to Kho over there as well. I actually wanted version #3 cos I use the fog lamps a lot when I drive EC. They don't have that in stock and if custom order, they can't split. Can u check if he can get #3 front only?

Just Got a Feedback from him and he said option #3 also can but you need to top up MYR 600.00 for the Fog lamps Making the total with the F10 M5 Bumper MYR 2,400.00 you can talk to him personally for the Best Price he can give to you. I did post his number in my earlier post. Good Luck Bro :top:
