'M5' modded e60

what do you guys think regarding modding ur 520,523,525,530,545 or even 550 if any to look like 'M5'? mod work includes the side fender vents, front bumper, rear bumper, side mirror and etc...look like M5 but u can easily tell when u see the vehicle ride height, brakes and exhaust...some i saw got quad exhaust but only one side dark with carbon deposits but one side clean aka dummy... for me why do it when it could not perform like one? is it for just cosmetics with no functional or performance gain? what and how does it feel if mod until like M5 but kena 'tapau' by other car or same stock standard e60? hehe just a time wasting survey...no offense to anyone...just curious...

I don't mind if the car owner wanted to mod their E60 for the look but what gets to me is that some of em put an ///M5 badge which clearly it's not. When that happens i usually laugh as i pass them by

Don't say like that... it's up to their preference.
As for me, I don't mod my car to look like M5... but I did put M5 fender grill (as I love the look of having a grill)... as for emblem, I bought original M5 emblem, but minus the "5" when sticking on my car.
I still stick to original M-Sport body kit but added Hamann front lips, rear diffuser + Remus quad exhaust; M-Sport 18" rims; didn't change the side mirror to M5 type (yet) ; nor install Brembo disc & caliper (yet )
My next project will be facelift LCI rear lamp (this one will cost me RM4k++), ECU re-map (RM3-4k) or perhaps in the future sportier side mirror (I don't mind going for M5 but it cost RM5k++!!!)
that will definitely differentiate my E60 to those of M5 :top:

For me, would depend on whether your are poser or racer. If poser than yes, can understand why they dress up car like M5. Me? I am racer, so if my car LOOKS like an M5, then it better well PERFORM like an M5. It's like having body of Mr Olympic but dick of a 2 year old.... no point. In fact, I would rather have reverse, i.e. car normal but performance oomph (or if you follow previous analogy.... dick of Mr Olympia but body of 2 year old.... NAH!!!! Bad reverse analogy! )

I guess gone were the days where I used to tiong ppl's back or smoke ppl on the road. having a family now makes me drive more carefully... except for when my wife and daughter are not in the car, I might floor the accelerator once in a while... lol!!! Just love the power of the N52 engine :top:
but then I don't want my car to look like M5... coz deep down inside my heart and my hood, I know that there is no 500bhp V10 engine underneath :vroam:

i forgot to add...especially those who letak the ///M5 emblem at the rear instead of the original 520 or 525 emblem...

got some case when u ask them wat car they drive they proudly say M5...i was like

yes you mentioned gone were the days meaning you are no longer racer...but what i was asking is the defination of racer from your side that a racer normally tiong ppl who is not racing on the road...IMHO this is not racer...

did not go for the exhaust modification as i think the stock one is better...i rather improve my driving skill than making the car faster but cannot handle it...

i never said that i can ta-pao ppl and to improve skill meaning my driving sucks maybe...to make a remark on top speed meaning ur view on driving is only in straight line speed which anyone could have do it with a powderful car...

furthermore, why need to say Rachel can do so?? can i safely assume that the reason u take her as comparison is that you think u are more superior than her or other driver here is far more faster? or maybe she is the fastest among all? but i think the earlier one applies for you since you could also take urself and your 320 as an example but u didn't...perhaps you could have ta-pao me with ur 320 since i couldn't even handle my car...power is nothing when it is on the worng hand right?...that would have been a fairer comment...

Yaloo.. how come all the N52 stock max out at 242kph regardless of chassis weight ah?! From the perspective of natural physic, her N52 325i should ta-pao ur N52 525i due to the difference in power-to-weight ratio le.. farnee.. :stupid:

Is it something to do with the "terminal velocity" of the N52 punching thru the oncoming air obstacle?

in my opinion la but i think not accurate coz my physics fail one...

the engine BHP is a measurement of the engine ability to do how much work, so in this case the N52B25 can do the equivalent work of 218 horses which is in relation to the vehicle max speed it can do in automotive terms...so in this case the speed the vehicle can achieve is the same for the given amount of horses work it can do...so since same bhp the final amount of work the engine can do for 3sili and 5sili is almost identical in this case...

the amount of energy to move a load to a certain distance is the torque and in this measurement it has alot to do with the vehicle weight...for the N52B25, it has the torque of 250Nm and in this case the 3sili would have an upper hand cause the load is lesser for the engine to push the vehicle forward...

I hunt almost all E60 with M5 or M emblem. cucuk them kau kau..if they pull away from me it is M5 but if i can tapau him or even he give away..then it is not M5. hehehe..nie sure kena blasah punya....
