M3 brakes to replace stock E36 brakes?

hello fellow bimmerheads,i've finally gotten my hands on a complete set of M3 brakes! hahh.. anyone has fitted these to replace stock E36 brakes? (mines a humble 318i)whats required pls? i roughly know the control arms need to go, but do i need a completely differnt hub assembly etc?thanx..:)cant wait for them to arrive next week..:)cheers!
 
wow u driving a 318 and install m3 brake ?? Is that needed for 318 is not that fast !!

well..yeah...on hind sight, my humble 318i no need the big ones lah...but for the damned good price i got the whole set...i suppose i can shoe horn them in, in anticipation of bigger thigs to come..:)...

(so..who's got a spare M engine lying around???..hahha..:)

Common misconception, bro.

Even 318 can reach 195-200 kph. It's not how quickly you reach this speed - sure the 6-potters are quicker. It's more important how quickly you can retard that speed safely.

agreed. bigger is always better i guess..:).. since i already got the parts..:).. seems that the wheels need to be at least 17" for the calipers to fit..:)

will do a little more research before embarking on the swap...
