They are busy stuffing their cash under the pillow before Govt sees them and earmark them for another round of national service.. :p "Faster! Faster! before they come.. !"

Petronas will be involved anyway. Anything that needs $$$, petronas is the cash cow. Let's hope for the best.

Anyway, should have a more experience driver other than Malaysia.

Presently, how many Malaysian have "F1" license other than Alex.

Malaysia version - pop Power Root ke, Kacip Fatimah ..

For Malaysia companies who wants to go Global - time to book some ad space on the car ..

Fairuz has one but I think expired liao...bcos F1 licence expires evry 31st Dec.
Even Michael Schumacher also recently had to apply again when he was asked to replace Massa....

Although this may be good for Malaysian Motorsports (and Bernie) in terms of patriotic Malaysians making a beeline to watch and cheer our team in the F1 GP series, I dont agree as this is a sheer waste of MY MONEY. How can this be announced without first getting approval from cabinet and the rakyat's money is being used here. It doesnt matter that other corporate boys will also (be seen to) be financing this project, taxpayers (the rakyat's) money is being used or wasted in this case.
All in the name and spirit of 1Malaysia, lets see if we really have a multi ethnic Malaysian Racing Team...those we call 'others' included.
In fact we had our first truly Malaysian Team in the Petronas TVK Motorsports Racing Team, owned and run by the late Tong Veng Kit and raced by Shahrul Yuzy in the then Motor GP.
Then we also had our very own Flying Sikh, Karamjit backed by Pert and he was the first Asian driver to win FIA's World Championship in Production car and on his first attempt too. Those were truly 1Malaysia teams and what happened to the funds needed for support....sigh

Ahhh.. same like BMW Club Malaysia membership...

Food for thought...

I am just thinking and wondering why doesn't the nay sayers in Malaysia just file an injunction against the GOM to rule and administer the country for the mismanagement of:
  • public [taxpayers] funds
  • pension [EPF] funds
  • and whatever else there is you can think off
If one person were to hand in a ringgit everytime they were to talk about this... imagine, if just 25% of the current Malaysian population [assuming that would be about 26m people] were to discuss about this in forums, kedai kopis etc an average of 4 times a month. That would be a collection of about RM312m a year - enough to start a campain and pay the lawyers fee to file in the injunction!

i think the government has nothing to do with it laa. this 3 company wants to bodek Najib 1Malaysia. Naza for more AP's, Air Asia is to get the second low cost airport with government money!, Proton to get government to continue price protection them for another 30 years! all in wish list maa.

Malaysian Gov is involved... Whichever way, our taxpayer's money would be used directly or indirectly in this multibillion dollar motorsport... I personally believed the money should be used in sorting out our rotting education system instead...

Everyday we wake up with shocking news... hope our nation's hutang is not as huge as Mount Kinabalu..

we can shout n whine all we want but the statement has been made... so lets just hope they do well and dont make a Fool out of themselves on the int racing arena...

it was just lame of Yoong to make comments like "if i had a car like Ferrari, i oso wil be number 1" when he was dropped...

good luck 1 malaysia

Yup, good luck 1 malaysia. With all the current fiasco hopefully they will learn. However i doubt it. Sigh!
