Sifus,I dont know how to check if this topic was discussed before. Is it normal that you have about 5 to 10 degrees left/right free steer i.e. you turn but the car wont steer....and this is especially evident when I start to go above 80km/h...?Would it just be a simple tightening job at the bengkel or am I suppose to get ready for some parts change?Thanks... :)

I suggest you check your steering linkage components. Check the tie rod and center rod. :)

also, check the most simplest thing, the rubber coupling on your steering shaft....

how to find:
open your hood, use torch light and find your steering shaft (runs from steering wheel to the rack through the firewall). you should be able to see a 2 segment shaft connected with a rubber coupling (something like a miniature flex disc or guibo)

how to check:
off engine so that no power to power steering
open hood and driver door
with one hand on steering, rock steering left and right. look at the rubber coupling.... if it is cracked and have free play, change it

cost:
RM 35

ps: try this first, easy and cheap......

add some lolipop la... :D

my steering have small free play. but sometimes got sound tik tik tik
when connering. maybe its my rack end. how much it will cost me.
btw i dun have power steering. :p

Thanks :)

will do the one DingChavez suggest first and see if it works....this is what i found in the manual..
