looking for steering rack (second)

halo bimmers. anybody can help me with steering rack. for e46, is the rack all are the same for different model (318,320,325, 328) ?Thanks

Bro..

I ve just repleced my steering rack with 'recond' one. The recond rack cost me RM750, while another RM200 for installation. Far better than second hand rack. Bought from Munich Auto jalan Ipoh, installed at Berlin Auto, Segambut. All German names...hehe.

mr cidor, i need to know.. why u need to change your steering rack? i have too problem with my steering.. when i drive my e46 to unbalance road, i can hear sound or my steering got vibreat...

if it is oil leaking, the oil seals can be replaced if i'm not mistaken.
u may check with your mechanic if they are willing to repair the rack for u.

Bro,I have the same prob as you. sounds and vibrat.Not yet check with my mechanic, guess its going for another operation soon...

I believe that E46 rack is the same as E36 rack... but the diff is the tie rod.....
