Location of E36 CKD Vin number/chassis number...PLEASE HELP!!

I have a 1999 E36 CKD, and have lost my logbook and mot certificate.. i cant remember when my mot is due, and need to find out the VIN/chassis number, for replacement documents. well i have looked everywhere... door columns, windscreen under seats, near the engine, suspension casing....the usual places it should be. can anyone help?

under the driver side wiper, there's 7 letters stamped (2 alphabets n 5 numbers). that's your VIN. go to realoem.com and key in this VIN at the Serial Number box, you should be able to find all the replacement part for your car. that's it.
