I am a newbie and have not found a forum to discuss where to go to do servicing etc for our beloved cars. Would it be in all our interest to start a workshop forum for BMWs. BTW, I have never owned a BMW b4 and just got a recon model last week. Need advice and help urgently on where to go for a once over.... I know of no dedicated BMW workshops other than AB.

where r u based??

Good idea.As usual, I'll plug my regular workshop:Bestness Motorsports, near Subang airport, look for Ah Keong (it's a one man show anyways) on 012-xxxxxxx. I think he's the best I've been to so far.*Edit: Please do not post up phone numbers on this forum - please do so via PM, TQ - The Moderator*

YEah been there before, nice chap and his barang also reasonable priced. HE still drives the black e30?

Bimmer Auto in PJ old town...ask for selvam...good service with low prices..only the place looks frightening as it is basically under a tree...quite experienced boys there...no MODIC..ok for most repairs..anything involving software can go to Herritage which is close by along the NPE highway..old klang road.

I'm like dwin7007 too. Just sent my E39 for service. One stoopid question, how many litres of engine oil is needed? I was charged for 8 litres but the manual says my car needs 6.5 litres. I spoke to the mechanic and he confirmed empting 2 bottles into it. (I was not in the workshop). Wonder if I was fleeced?

My car has been to MSpeed, M1 (Kayu Ara & Segambut) & Heritage. No problems with any of them.....whoever installs streamyx gets my vote! Hahahah.....then we can surf the forum while waiting for our cars...... :D . In fact I've pitch this idea to several workshops....

So far been to Mspeed and GSM Auto... they are ok and I always use my regular mech for second opinion. I am "training" my regular mech to eventually take over the maintenance of my babe. :D Giving him nightmares already.

no no for m-speed
hmm, just heard that you have no business dealing with M Speed yet you have pass negative judgement. That E23 owner will continue to buy from you as long as your goods is genuine and the price is reasonable. You can't run down a workshop just because he doesn't buy from you.

Many members here do frequent M Speed and I think they should be the one to comment.

I have been to M Speed, BM World, M1, Optimum, Bestness, Bavarian Motor and Heritage. They all can fix your UDM but the price varied. YMMV.

1) Hi-tech WHEELS ---- Senawang ( MR Sam )
2) Joebell AUTO ---- Kajang ( Kenny , Jeevan )

Not too sure about the Melawati guy but I've been to both 2 &3 and my cooments are as follows:-

BM World

Pricey but they sure know their stuff, do have the Modic 3 and are an ex-ab. I'm their regular customer for the past 2 years.

Ultimate

Price higher compared to BM World, ex M1 stuff, workmanship ok specialise more in e30. Went there twice and will never go there again as price charged crazy and known to have your car dirty interior and exterior after rectifying the car. Looking at the shop you can say that the standard of the shop similar to bawah pokok, but their workmanship is ok.

Only been to one....M1 Kayu Ara. Clean shop, seems professional, frienly people...very well patronised....

Went there last week for regular servicing....rm600+...changed oil, filter, plugs and 2 bulbs...is that ok?

then, on way back from Singapore, rear window decides to not want to come up after being wound down...went ot M1 again..dmaage = RM400+
