left ring light not working

greeting to all sifu..last week my angel eye or ring light cant be on..so send to workshop they said need to change one assy. of ring light..is it true..price of assy cost rm550..hope all sifu can help me or any idea to repair it..tq

The workshop pulling a fast one on you. If your ring light is the CCFL type, then most likely the ballast is fired. For normal ring light, usually the bulb is blown. GO to any auto accessory shop and they can replaced the ballast or the bulb.

Price of ballast approx. RM 40.00 & normal bulb approx. RM 1.50

I have the same issue, its the ballast problem due to the heat from the engine, u will notice your ballast casing expanded. I change it for RM 70 in sunway with 3 month warranty

i changed the ballast rm55.@kota dmnsara.
Now everything ok.tq all
