5er is due for replacement in 2 yrs or less.
if you dont mind, getting it now is the right move since lots of goodies you get from the 523 facelifted version compared to those who bought a yr ago cos there's nothing in there.
the new 5er is gong to be even more exciting i guess.
why not just settle for a camry now and save up for 5er in 2 yr's time?

wait for the all new 5er in 2 yrs, then you can keep the 5er for another 6-7 yr life cycle b4 its next change in perhaps 2018?
i did the same when i first consider the E46 in 2004 which lots of goodies were added and very tempting interest rate. but i waited...and waited for the E90 to launch in 2005 April. so, i am pleased with my decision.

I did a test drive on both Volvo & 525i M-sport, within 15 minutes apart. The latest Volvo S80 2.5T felt more responsive and smooth. Also, not to mention the savings of no less than RM 140k if you chose the Swedish babe!
Oops, I know this is the BMW Club site.............so don't kill me for the above comments

There's a 940 at home and I hated the car! Not responsive, heavy, high FC like driving a tank!
