Good day everyonehope you are in great healthjust recently getting my 2001 325ineed your advice here1. aircond - no cold air on driver side, but okay on passenger side 2. airbag indicator sometime appear3. engine oil indicator sometime appearthanks in advance:26:

Read somewhere in the forum that the AC is due to old broken filter. Might need to change the filter.
My advice is to service once you get the car. Change the oil to 5w-40 fully synthetic and also change the gearbox oil and pan.

I have the same problem for the AC. Read that it due the heater control valve from other. will check it out this weekend.

2. airbag indicator sometime appear
3. engine oil indicator sometime appear

1. Common issue, aircond is low on gas. This is a sign of a leak .Refill and ask them to add tracer dye so the leak can be found. I had this problem but after refilling gas no leak noticeable. It is also good to change the A/C filter which is sometimes neglected.

2. Could be a faulty airbag sensor.

3. Check if your oil level is low. If not, it is usually a faulty oil level sensor. Had this problem and replacing the sensor fixed it.

Airbag light is normally caused by broken passenger seat sensor, cost to fix is around RM480 for part only via ebay, BA selling for RM850

The other two issues are addressed by other SIFU.

Take your car for a full service and check.

thank you very much!

i guess, i have to check/service complete AC system
oil level is okay, it must be the sensor

now i know
passenger seat has airbag sensor.. :D

oh, forgot another prob
i can hear 'knocking' sound whenever i accelerate or decelerate
the sound is from rear diff

any advice?

Your long shaft mounting or coupling or bearing need to be checked. :)

Take it to a good workshop for comprehensive check ya.

3. if the yellow indicator appear for a few second after u start the car, then your oil level sensor already kaput. easy to fix, can do it when u do oil service.
this is how it look.

As your problem 3, as Helena320 mentioned if the yellow indicator appear for a few second then goes off after u start the car, then your oil level sensor already kaput. I am having this problem now and i am ignore it cause i know that my oil lever sensor was the culprit not the oil lever low.

Check your rear diff mounts and subframe bushings, these are usually the culprit.

PM me if you need more info or need help getting the parts.

many thanks guys

You must drain the oil before you can remove the oil level sensor as it is at the bottom of the pan.

I use Royal Purple Synchromax in my car. I have seen many recommendations for this oil on a few BMW forums.

Same problem with AC sometime back, driver side hot air.
pumped gas all good, But only for 2months plus.. There is a problem somewhere.

Jarance pls share if u find the culprit, just hope its not cooling coil.

Thanks

Mostly likely due to the leakage at cooling coil. Tried checking the heater valve as well?

For the Aircond issue, you all might refer to our sifu B33mEr on his My humble E36 ...Thread pages 4 posting #34
