It's been awhile since my last post and apologies for the long absence! I've been enjoying my UDM for some time now, until recently when a strange problem has manifested.
My ride is a 318i runnign on the 4 pot N42B20. I have previously posted a question regarding the car sounding like a garbage truck on cold start, but that has ceased to bother me since it seems like a normal characteristic of this engine.
However, what has been bothering me is that recently, when i re-start the car after it has been warmed up or driven, I sometimes ( but more and more frequently ) get a terrible rattling sound from the engine before it starts to judder and die off.
On second start, it will start up perfectly. It is always the same. First start - clitter clatter sputter and die. Second start - Perfect.
The car is therefore driveable, but this bothers me and I do hope to get to the bottom of it.
To help , I have recently sent my car in to my friends workshop and the only 2 erros i got were O2 Sensor and camshaft sensor. The camshaft sensor has since been replaced, and the problem seemed to go off for a few days. It's back now though.
Any advice and experience with this issue will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
