I still drive it sometimes( Buy petrol, bring to wash, polish) but most of the time my father drives it for playing golf in the evening or weekends :p

Haha, BUY PETROL. How true. Probably is a huge gas guzzler isn't it? :D

But must be super nice to drive around in too. :top:

^^Yes but not as bad as the Porsche 928. hehehe...

Yep - Nice to drive a classic around- Still turns head & get compliment from people.

My daily ride- BM328- need some TLC soon. hehehe

Haha, no worries. Not in a hurry. :D

So you keep the SL under wraps, or under the roof? Gotta maintain the paintwork.

The SL is under wraps at the car porch...

Hope to arrange a photo session this weekend..

Haha, the 928 guzzles more fuel that the SL500?

I still like the lines on the 928 though.

Anyways, saw quite a number of SLs [R129s] around Uptown area yesterday evening. Seems to be driven more by ladies. :D

Yes- 928 CC is 5.4 & more HP.

Sl is OK-

SL is a roadster- Ladies cars especially when it is in bright red.

928 more rugged & muscular :D

BMW 328- Low profile with luxury.

Ooh, 5.4L engine. No wonder. Haha.

I thought both cars are effortless cruisers, which can easily reach insane speeds without you realising it.

I haven't drive both car to the max- as both have mileage below 10 k. LOL..mostly relax type cruising..

Hey bro. Nice to hear from you. I definitely have a soft spot for Jags. Used to have a Damiler XJ40 too [not the 4 eyes] but it got written off in an accident when my mechanic crashed it back in 2005. Got it replaced with this XJ40 with the 4 eyes, and those X300 chrome rims are simply awesome! :top:

Did you know, the ori metric rims on Michelins TD, the tyre shop quoted about > RM 500 per tyre since it had to be ordered from the UK? So my dad traded in the metric rims with these X300 ones.

Kinda like the J gated shifter too. :D Always read up on Series II and IIIs, but my personal fave is the Mark 2 in terms of design. Haha. Gosh, I feel so old.

And you're right, nothing actually beats the feeling of driving that Jag, and seeing other Jags on the road. People tend to be slightly more polite when they see you driving. :D

Btw, the Jag's doing well. In fact, I'm using it now cos my E32's in the workshop again.

Other than the fuel pump which got replaced, and previously, faulty driver's power window, which has been remedied now, the car's in great driving condition. :top:

yes- Very low miles. Yesterday I drove the 928 on the highway, drive around town & went to the Ramadan stall to get some food.- Love the drive! We always make sure the 928 gets driven at least once a week and start it regularly. SL is driven almost everyday but short distance only.- to town, Golf course, badminton court, mosque- but
we drove the SL to the airport(one hr) last sun as my sis is going to UK for study. Need 2 cars to carry all her stuff.hehe..

Wow, nice pic. Car looks super shiny. You send it for detailing? :top:

Haha, two cars. So what was the other? Your E36? :D

Thanks. No I haven't sent it for detailing.

Other car is the W140 S320. Singapore used imported model(Recon). Very reliable & has already done 235 900 KM on it. Bought it 10 years ago with 30k on the odo.

That's a great pic - the lighting on the car together with the dusk/dawn skyline is just perfect. :top:
