Dude, you're lucky man! Haha. Wow, 25 years ago. I haven't even reached 25 years yet. :D

Anyways, I'm not really a classic Merc fan.

Hi mizhan!
Good to know you're a classic fan too and the Pagoda is another desirable baby...
Prices have gone crazy over the last 3 years...
There's one 230SL on sale in MotorTrader asking for over 150k..
Its all original and owned by an expatriate but I reckon would require some work to bring it to concourse
condition...

Hi eggie86.
My 190SL is not concourse condition but just a class below...
Just require a little more work and replacements...
In any case its not my desire to go to that extent...

Hi erica,
You're right the 190SL is not a daily driver...
When the baby is not moving, the steering wheel weighs a ton...

To me, classics rule in design and desirability....

WOW beautiful rides. My dad & i also likes classic cars- he has the classic merc 91 500SL.

Only use it for golf ; badminton & attend function like raya open house, wedding function.

I see. actually we don't opt for the power- but the beauty of the car.

It's Not the V12- V8 ones. 500SL- Maintenance is OK & parts are available easily.

If V12- Maintenance is a in a different league  V12parts are ridiculous expensive & hard to get.

Maniac z/// that's one smokin' red hot chilli pepper classic.

Yes- Dash is red too. I will post some pics soon.

LOL- I bought that BMW signin London. The E36 suppose to park that spot but hehehe...but sometimes the daily ride need some rest.:D

Ahh, well, Just a class below concourse, is still considered a very neat example already! Considering the weather we have here, and not all of us lucky enough to have covered garages, it would really be difficult to make keep a car at concours level, let alone to maintain one! :D

Hehe, any pics to share of your lovely SL?

that's a nice R129 you have there.. and the 5.0 V8 is the perfect engine for it :top:

Pardon me asking, but how much is the roadtax on that mean machine (5.0)? If you dont feel comfortable dont answer it.

Haha, no worries. Not in a hurry. :D

So you keep the SL under wraps, or under the roof? Gotta maintain the paintwork.

Wow, amazing.

Just curious, it's not customised by Carat Duchalatet? :D

Hello Eggie,

I'm not too sure as the details of the car are still with the co. who auctioned these cars- they won't release it. The care taker just told me the interior is customization cost 30k.

From what I see from the ownership card- The colour is Ferrari red. Body-kit lorinser approved by the land transport.

Ahh okok. No worries. Lorinser kit huh? :top: Very rare. Are the rims Lorinser ones too? Certainly resembles AMG ones in my opinion. :D

Wow, 30K job. Lotsa work must've been carried out to make the interior as cosy and superb as the pic certainly shows. :top:

eggie- wheels is AMG 3 piece- body kit is Lorinser. It came like that.

yes- only thing is during noon- it's hard to drive as the glare from the red dash reflects my eyes.

haywire,

yes- 175BND to be exact. only insurance is expensive. 900 plus per year.

I heard also Malaysian high tax. This is why I've seen Miri sarawak people buys cars from brunei.

Ah, alright. Thanks for the clarification bro.

Hmm, glaring eh? That's a real shame, cos a car like that deserves to be seen in the bright!

Haha. Not high tax, extremely HIGH tax. :D

I still drive it sometimes( Buy petrol, bring to wash, polish) but most of the time my father drives it for playing golf in the evening or weekends :p
