Iphone 3G with Idrive

Hi guys,I've search up n down in this forum but couldn't find this related question....so has anyone successfully synch his Iphone 3G with our Idrive? Does it work?How bout contact numbers and music playlist from Iphone, can they synch with the idrive? I tried my friend's singapore iphone (unlocked) but no joy.....thinking of getting the official maxis launch iphone if it can work with idrive...Cheers

Its no problem syncing my iphone with the iDrive.
It synced automatically.
The contact list loads directly from the phone into the iDrive's system every time I get into the car with the phone
For the playlists, I could not get my iphone to sync with the iDrive. Need to use a USB drive for that

iphone only works with the bluetooth and the contact list.... and the best thing is your can used the save address in your
contact for your sat nav

weird...my 3 year old hp ipaq can sync smoothly with the contact address as well...maybe my friend's iphone is not fully locked? i've heard that iphone bluetooth only work for handsfree not for data transfer...has this been the cause why it cant be snych...anyways i've settled with HTC Diamond 2 which works perfectly....:top:

yes.... it works fine for handsfree.... but cannot bluetooth data transfer..
It will automatically load the iphone's contact list via bluetooth but thats it
With the other phones like HTC, can you play music via the bluetooth ?

Apple just released software version 3.0 for the Iphone 3G. It supports a host of new stuff for the Iphone and one of them is A2DP, which is stereo blue tooth. Upgrade you Iphone software then try again.

Careful. I believe the 3.0 software works only with AT&T now. I was silly enough to try and download the 3.0 software and my goddamn iPhone got locked and I lost all my data. I believe that the unlock software isnt available yet.

I upgraded to the 3.0 firmware and mine works ok....no problem. There have reported bugs though.

So far my Iphone is ok, did not loose any data.

My phone isnt from KL. It's probably american. After I downloaded, it locked my phone and I cant use it at all. Now waiting for the JailBreak version

sith means your iphone is not an official apple unlock phone... well then u have to wait for a new version of jailbreak.

Got my Jailbreak version of the 3.0 software and it's awesome. Even got need for speed to play with. hahahaha
