Android phone with idrive

Understand that iPhone connectivity with idrive is a non issue. However with android it works perfectly on telephone, audio but not data transfer. One more issue on android is that when voice command activated and say "read phonebook" it says "phonebook is empty". On the screen display the phone contacts all listed.Taken aback when both glenmarie and puchong service centers tech's reps said they personally hav yet to test on android phones and their answer is wait for the s/w updates. Appreciate anybody can enlighten me on this. Thanks in advance.

The read phonebook command in voice command is only for the voice phonebook that you save yourself in idrive, cannot read any phone's phonebook

To save a name to the voice phonebook say "save name"

Got it. Thanks Paul. How abt data transfer? Usually after phone is paired there re 3 icons appeared, mind without global icon Till now still unable to play with Internet. sad..

Btw, hav not got my navigation activtion code after more than 2weeks delivery. They keep saying is coming... Soon will jump at AB. Just curious to f10 owners, did navigation come together upon car collection? Or later. Thanks

i got problem linking my nokia phone. Any nokia driver here having the same issue?

My old Nokia 3180 works perfectly with all the bluetooth functions i.e internet and voice dailed..i am sure your Nokia alot newer then mine..3180 considered antique already..

somehow i have problem linking it for both cars. Wife's iphone no problem. If u see any idiot holding a handphone while driving a bimmer....... that will be me. Remember to honk to acknowledge

you mean activitng your gps? If that what u mean, then we dun have that issue as upon collection gps is already activated.

Thanks Bro. According to AB, d current batch all have to wait for gps activation code. Said supply of cars too fast ahead than fulfilling gps code.

I suggest you go to BMW website,it listed all the phones that are compatible and most nokias are..

I will go to SC to ask them to show me how to do it. Maybe i did it all wrong
