Yet u managed to drive like a tip-toeing elephant doing ballet move... :top: This is not your play ground la.

CONGRATULATIONS to the entire organising committee for the excellent job :top: and also to the winners!
Mr President, how about posting the respective winners' timing for the record?

Great job, guys

It will be useful to post up all the timings, to see where one can improve.

Anyhow, it was a great event. A big thumbs up to the organising committee and the marshalls.

Me and Philip truly enjoyed ourselves last weekend. Thank you to the committee and all who made this event successful.

Well, the Gomen already hire bomoh to ensure no rain for MotoGP weekend. We just took advantage of that. See, that's what I call proper planning, heh!

We E90s were really out numbered by the E30s and E36s where the latter swept all the Group B trophies. Our steady Alalio's time wasn't bad at all for a non regular spirited driver and despite in Group B, I think he beaten most of the Group A time :top: I had to take my hats off for Alalio for being such a sport! I want to interview him when we next meet on whether how hard he pushed or was he just cruising..

Its a pity that non of the regular spirited 6-potter E9x gang joined the competition, it should give the E36s even the 3.2Ls a run for their trophies. :D MSport, David, Rachel, Traveler and SouthIsland did show up to support us E9x gang and even bought lunch for us. :top:

My test run was messy, missed the last narrow right bender before existing the first sector car park and managed to only clock 1:02:xx.

If I not mistaken, all my 3 timed run was 1.01.xx. Can't do any better. Running on 28k km old mostly wife driven CSC2 OEM 225/45R17 RFT inflated to 230/280kpa (max recommended on the B-Pillar), half tank RON97, 5k km old SC Syntium LL engine at MAX level, off DSC, off aircond, both front windows down, both rear window with an inch opening, DS shift mode, keep punching the accelerator to keep the DS mode lock down to low gear and of course some messy handbrake turns in round-abouts... :p

The sector 1 slalom was a piece of cake with a tricky narrow right bender at the end before exiting car park. The uphill straight after exiting the sector 1 car park is where all the good power to weight ratio car had all the advantage.

After the climb, is a big tricky right bender over loose ball bearing gravels. If you time your speed and entering angle right, you can instill a slight drift here due to the loose ball bearing gravel, again, FUN!! Then downhill slalom section where the car felt different due to the down slope where we will experience front heavy, light rear. Exiting the downhill slalom is a another full throttle section aim for the 1st round-about.

The first counter clockwise round-about was fun I think due to the down hill momentum and the sweet angle entering the round-about. The 2nd round-about was a bit nervous with the nearby cones from the slalom in sector 1, so can't run too wide. Exiting 2nd round-about was fun with a slight oversteer, screeching and smoking rear, with a slight counter steer, until many over shot the car park.... especially XXX.. :D :D

Powering the car in both round-abouts were the biggest problem because rear body roll and limited wheel traction with one rear wheel tend to lift and spin in the air. This is where Fabian took all the advantage with his LSD, clocked an amazing 0.57.00 !! or was Fabian better?! I think Fabian is the overall quickest la, beat the Group B time as well.. Seriously, posting the time sheet here would be sweet so we know how lousy we are.. :p

Fabian's first run was 0.58.00 but knocked a cone, so plus 2 sec and became 1.00.00... I still got chance.. but on Fabian's 2nd run, it was 0.57.00, I surrender lio... so just throw the car around for fun only nia... Fabian's time was the time clocked by Ivan Khong in the Z4M !! :stupid:

No offense to the 5-series, but watching them tip-toeing around the cones is like watching elephant ballerinas. They can really smoke their tyres powering out of round-abouts. Both Jerman and XXX did win the audience's applause just for this... :top:

Both Zoggee and Fabian's E30 did put up some amazing drift and smoke show :top:

Please don't take me wrong, I may have the right to brag now :15: but no.. I'm just sharing my experience here and hope to gain more in exchange..

My rear tyres are worn out nicely, smoothly and evenly, but my front is chipping like Fabian's rear drift tyres..

I keep telling Enkil my handbrake turns very messy and so he asked me how to do it... I share some messy handbrake tricks I did and he was determined to learn the trick... I realised later, our friend is using an E36 3.2L la! Why handbrake? He has all the power he need to play with his belakang.. we 4-potter underpower ma, that's why need handbrake ma.. :D :D

Many interaction between participants were going on sharing their experience. And so I shared mine here unselfishly... hope to hear more experience here..

Some beautiful photos taken by my good friend Bob of my blackie in action..

Charging at the 2nd round-about.. Just noticed this 2nd round-about is slightly uphill, no wonder my handbrake turns are so messy/reluctant compare to the 1st round-about..

It was raining at Sepang la.

I wouldn't mind the rain actually and hence didn't hire the weather consultant like we did last year at Bimmerfest. A rain shower would at least bring some relief to all of us, and more fun for the participants:top:
