I bought my 523 (2005 manufactured) in February from AB's used division. They promised to fix up little matters when I took delivery and paid up. 1 month warranty is up.

After the servicing, I feel the idling is still not smooth. I can feel slight vibration when I place my hands on anything in the car. I feel embarassed stopping at traffic lights because sometimes my commercial clients will asked if my car need servicing or not.
Worse part is when my driver drives and I am at the back with a client and we both can see the front passenger seat shaking slightly. The car is in D postition.

I am fed up. My brothers Mercedes Benz S280 has none of this shaky problems!

Can anyone point out what I should be looking for to rectify the situation? I brought the car to a mechanic in Sunway and they charged me for this and that but still the problem remain!

sorry for my opinion...i think u should check the piston ring of engine...im not guarantee but u can try or asking the experience mechanic at stuttgart service centre or bm auto at segambut about the vibration....tq

Gearbox mounting izzit? or Engine mounting... these are wear and tear items that require replacement just like your tyres... they won't last forever.

Plse check the ignition coil.
Many time people bring their car in and find that changing something else did not help as recommended by mechanics.
I am just basing exactly on what you described regarding the slight vibration during idle.
Est cost is rm700+.
Definitely not engine mounting in your case.

Try Chong of Turbo Power @ Kuchai Lama, he won't simply charge you. He can help check / diagnose this problem. He had explained to me before but I'm not a technical person, so I can't explain. He has over 15 years servicing BMW. Cool and down to earth person. Speak Cantonese or BM. His English not good. Tell him David from Sri Petaling referred, he knows me well. All the best.
