guys, anyone knows how to differentiate... or rather to confirm that a particular model is from uk, japan or s'pore spec?? i am presently looking at e46 325ci..and someone told me to check the chassis no. to confirm its origin.really appreciate any help. thanx

viewed e46 325ci yr 2000 yesterday..mileage shows 17k miles...the bottom right of the windscreen shows a chassis no XXXXXXXJV408686..the salesman said only uk spec got this..anyone can confirm this?...

although the mileage shows 17k..the disc is quite worn out, engine shows slight oily (canister next to the oil filter !..dunno what) ... tryin to look for indication that the odometer been tampered...

any info. is highly appreciated

joe

try the vin number with etk and found that your number is invalid.
can you check again. you need only the 7 digits of the chassis number
but the whole number would be helpful.

checked ur vin number from VIN decoder also cannot.... invalid....
are u sure this is correct ??

beware dude...

thanx for the reply guys.

will check the chassis no. tommorow. ..& come bk a.s.a.p.

...really tempted to buy the 325.. as it is below market price by 20k!

*the car got a sticker of a garage in uk..*

my only worry now is whether... the odometer has been tampered?..
